Paul Cudmore

Paul Cudmore brings over 43 years of martial arts experience across a wide range of disciplines. His journey began at the age of 17 with Shotokan Karate, which he studied for two years. Around the same time, he also began training in Lau Gar Kung Fu under Sifu Neville Wray, continuing for six years.
Paul holds the following qualifications:
- Black Belt in Kickboxing
- Black Belt in Kapatiran Arnis
- Black Belt in 4D Combatives under Guro Bob Breen
- Instructor under Guro Terry Barnett in the Integrated Arts of JKD, Kali, Muay Thai, and Boxing
- Black Belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu under Royce Gracie
Over the years, Paul has also studied Boxing, Thai Boxing, and Filipino Martial Arts under respected instructors such as Guro Bob Breen, Guro Jude Tucker, Guro John Harvey, and Guro Terry Barnett.
Like many, Paul discovered Gracie Jiu Jitsu after watching the first UFC in the early 1990s. He went on to train in Judo and Sambo, later joining a Gracie Jiu Jitsu school run by Marc Walder, where he had the opportunity to train under Royce Gracie himself.
In 2019, Paul was honored to be invited to test for his Black Belt in Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Oklahoma, USA—personally tested and certified by Royce Gracie. He is now among a select group of Royce Gracie Certified Black Belts in the UK and continues to train in the arts he’s studied throughout his career.
